      IT Infrastructure Engineer Azure AD SAN Exchange Office Based – Some UK Travel

      Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer looking to take your career to new heights? We’re in search of a talented individual to join our team and lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s critical infrastructure systems. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our infrastructure while driving technological excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative solutions while adhering to industry best practices and standards. This role reports directly to the Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer and oversees IT infrastructure operations across multiple sites

      Key Accountabilities:

      Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

      Lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable infrastructure solutions, including network architecture, server systems, storage, and cloud virtualization platforms.
      Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for critical infrastructure components.
      Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance infrastructure efficiency and performance.
      Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective infrastructure solutions.
      System Administration and Maintenance:

      Manage and maintain infrastructure components, including servers, storage systems, networking devices, and virtualization platforms.
      Perform regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal infrastructure performance and availability.
      Implement and enforce security measures to protect infrastructure assets from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
      Conduct regular patching, updates, and maintenance activities while minimizing service disruptions.
      Infrastructure Automation and Optimization:

      Identify opportunities for infrastructure automation and implement solutions to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
      Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including configuration details, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
      Continuously monitor infrastructure performance metrics and proactively identify and address bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
      Technical Leadership and Collaboration:

      Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior infrastructure team members.
      Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security professionals, to drive infrastructure-related projects and initiatives.
      Participate in the evaluation and selection of vendors and third-party solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
      Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and assess their potential application within the organization.
      Collaborate with the team to proactively identify and present potential business opportunities to clients, aiming to foster further growth and engagement.

      Skills / Abilities:

      Technical expertise in areas such as Active Directory, Azure, DNS, DHCP, Automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Group Policy, Azure Automate), Firewalls, Routers and Switches, Virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, Azure, Azure WVD), Network Monitoring tools, Windows Server, SAN Technologies, Windows 10 onwards, Microsoft Exchange, VOIP Telephone Systems, Experience of firewalls, Backup Solutions, Hardware, Microsoft Applications, Microsoft Licensing, Knowledge of CAD Software, Ubiquiti, and Azure Files (an advantage).
      Requirements:

      Minimum of 3-5 years of IT Infrastructure expertise in a similar-sized company.
      Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
      Highly dynamic and self-motivated.
      Strong leadership skills.
      Ability to use own initiative.
      Excellent problem-solving abilities.
      Effective teamwork skills.
      Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
      Quick learning ability.
      Capability to work under pressure.
      Keen attention to detail.
      Willingness to work offsite at client locations.
      Familiarity with operating a Technical Help Desk.
