      Database Administrator Hybrid Role SQL Server Azure, SQL Server HA and DR, T-SQL SSIS, and SQL Reporting Services

      Our client is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with a comprehensive background in data management. As a small but dynamic company, they are looking for an individual who possesses a wide-ranging skill set, encompassing Database Administration, Database Architecture, Database Infrastructure, and Data Engineering. The successful candidate will be an integral part of an innovative Data and Technology Team, playing a pivotal role in the execution of their data and IT strategy.       **Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**

      As a Technical Solutions, Database Administrator, you will be responsible for contributing to data and database solutions, both independently and collaboratively within the development team, with a focus on optimizing, securing, and ensuring the reliability of the company’s database systems. Your responsibilities will include:

      **Database Administration:**
      – Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Server instances in various environments.
      – Designing and implementing database structures to align with application and business requirements.
      – Collaborating with the data and technology team to maximize database performance.
      – Handling common DBA tasks, such as upgrades, backups, recoveries, migrations, and more.
      – Supporting the test/live system, encompassing all elements of the technology platform and infrastructure, not limited to databases.
      – Solving operational problems, managing incidents, and researching preventive measures.
      – Analyzing and automating tasks to reduce manual intervention.

      **Performance Tuning:**
      – Monitoring database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval.
      – Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and optimizing query execution plans.
      – Conducting capacity planning and optimization (performance & cost) for both existing and new database infrastructure.
      – Ensuring the continuous performance and availability of databases.

      **Security Management:**
      – Implementing and managing robust database security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
      – Administering user access, permissions, and roles to maintain data governance.

      **Backup and Recovery:**
      – Developing and maintaining reliable backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss.
      – Regularly performing database backups and conducting recovery procedure testing.

      **Monitoring and Maintenance:**
      – Conducting routine monitoring of database health and proactively addressing any issues.
      – Monitoring and managing multiple data replication streams.
      – Executing regular maintenance tasks and updates to uphold system stability.

      **Job Requirements**

      **Knowledge and Skills:**
      – Several years of hands-on experience in database administration.
      – In-depth knowledge of Azure, SQL Server HA and DR, and related technologies.
      – Strong understanding of database performance tuning strategies and goals.
      – Confidence in taking ownership of SQL and database-related tasks.
      – Proficiency in performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
      – Experience with MS-SQL and T-SQL from SQL 2016/2019.
      – Familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS 2012R2-2019.
      – Exposure to replication, SSIS, and SQL Reporting Services.
      – Proactive and passionate about all aspects of data and SQL Server.
      – Experience with configuration management.
      – Experience with migrating from on-premises to private and public clouds.
      – A commitment to staying updated on new IT trends and a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies effectively.

      **Desirable Knowledge and Skills:**
